Do you avoid confrontation? Do you run from conflicts at your agency? Yes, most of us do. But if you're like the company I'm about to describe it could be costing you a ton of money and business. In this video, I'll demonstrate why you need to force yourself to address conflicts head-on.
Listen, if you have a team member or a client that you would be happy to lose then you're avoiding confrontation. I was talking to a friend who was telling me about a $250-million-dollar manufacturing company that was avoiding confrontation by not getting rid of an employee. As a result, their customers were leaving and they realize it was costing them $250,000 per quarter. (YIKES!) in order to avoid confrontation.
Even I struggle with confrontation but at the end of the day, I force myself to handle it because it's what's best for my business. Recently, I had to get rid of a member of our mastermind group. This person just wasn't the right fit - even though he was paying his monthly membership fee - I knew, in the long run, it would ruin the vibe of the mastermind. This person didn't fit in the culture and didn't have the same core values. I had to confront the issue before it cost me stress and the loss of other client-members.
